![]() 1080p is still not the game's native resolution. Then by that logic almost every pc game doesn't truly run on 1080p because the textures on all of these multiplatform and even proper PC games are not by any means 1920x1080. That doesn't however mean it's not doing that here and even without higher quality assets (ie better textures) polygonal detail does always benefit from higher resolution and even the textures benefit from cleaner anisotropic filtering. Here's the thing though - it wasn't made to be played natively on 1080p. Do you mean having 1920 x 1080 textures? 'cause that'd be kind of ridiculous. Please elaborate on what it means for "textures to match the resolution". Publicado originalmente por lostsomething: Even google says the same thing so no point in arguing it. If a texture on the game looks smudgy when it is up close to the screen, the game is not natively made for 1080p. A game that is made to be played NATIVELY on 1080p would be things like Sleeping Dogs (with its high res texture dlc) for example. Deal with it.Īll you got to do is look at the character's hands, face, ect. If the textures don't match the resolution, then it is not native. Likewise texture quality is completely independent of resolution, you can run Quake 1 with its itty-bitty 16x16 textures in glorious 1080p and it will still be 1080p. no, if anything that would just mean the ui was stretched. If you dont care then play at 1080p and use sweetfx or not. It's not really that bad, but if you don't want to see ashy sprites or lower rez texture quality then play at 720p. Being native 1080p means that everything will look crisp, not pixelated, when at the resolution. You can tell on the menu when the wording graphics get ashy when putting in in 1080p.
